Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED#LI-LB1This position will have RF research and development (R&D) support as its area of specialization. The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers' missions.   • Will be under the general direction of one or more design and manufacturing engineers but will have considerable autonomy in getting the job done.
  • RF R&D includes primarily RF components (amplifier and switch testing, electronic circuit troubleshooting and repair), but may expand into other areas including antennas and antenna-related components that are in RF/microwave instruments.
  • Perform standard duties and tasks and will resolve routine questions and problems independently.
  • Work will be performed under general direction on a day-to-day basis and will be reviewed upon completion.
  • Develop thorough technical solutions to a wide range of problems and may direct less-experienced employees.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.Working Conditions:
    • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
      • High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 years or more related experience.
      • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
      • Should have a general appreciation of RF theory and knowledge of S-parameters.
      • RF R&D Manufacturing support requires mechanical, as well as RF capabilities to build and test the RF components in question.
      • Must be able to communicate well with other people both from the engineering and production ranks. As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. A DoD Interim Secret clearance will be required to start work and required to be maintained to continue work. Higher level clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
        • Knowledge and operation of RF test equipment including spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generators, and network analyzers.
        • Machining capabilities, (power saws, press, 2 and 3 axis mill).
        • Use of drafting software such as Mastercam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
        • Surface mount reflow soldering, ball and wedge bonding and sealing, machining, network analyzer operation, and antenna troubleshooting.
        • Soldering experience.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $45320.000 - $72490.000Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
